M is our gender nonconforming, non-binary teen correspondent. They are also on the autism spectrum and this month is Autism Awareness Month. Today they post on the subject and how it has affected them. They were only diagnosed with autism a year ago and after looking into the subject online they have determined that there seem to be a number of trans and non-conforming people who are also on the spectrum.

It’s a self-help book for the LGBT community that provides a framework you can use to discover yourself. The book is positive, affirming of those who have grown up feeling and being different. It gives you the tools you need to find what is holding you down and helps to lift you up. And the party was a lot off fun, too!

It seems to The Artist D that many people today are rejecting labels so they can sink into a bland beige background noise and give up on any of their unique qualities. Either that or they are piling on so many labels the essential person is submerged under them all. And, why would anyone want to be “just” human?
