Product Review: Pocket Bra Teddie

Tyler from Crossdresser.com contacted us recently to tell us about a new product they’re selling on the site. He wanted us to conduct a review and tell TGF readers about their new Pocket Bra Teddies. To facilitate the review process he sent us a sample teddie along with a pair of breast forms to road test, as it were. After rigorous testing and evaluation here is our review of the Pocket Bra Teddie from Crossdresser.com.

The Pocket Bra Teddie is one of the products that Crossdresser.com touts as “unique products that are specially designed” for crossdressers and are only available through their site. The Pocket Bra Teddie has, as the name indicates, special  pockets in the breast area to hold breast forms. To tell the truth I was skeptical that the breasts would look at all natural. It has been my experience that you need support from below to push up some of your own breast area tissue and give the illusion of natural breasts in a bra. You don’t necessarily have to achieve vixen cleavage but there should be some plumpness visible.

When the package from Crossdress.com arrived (a plain brown box with no markings to give away the contents) it contained the teddie and a pair of breast forms (Perfect Fit forms) that are designed to look real through sheer materials found in lingerie. One of the big problems with false breasts is the shine imparted to them by the “skin” used to contain the silicone gel. When you’re doing a lingerie photo session for your special online friends the last thing you want is the flash bouncing off off your falsies. One plus with the Perfect Fit forms is that they seem to minimize reflection. They don’t eliminate it completely as you can see in the photos. Photo 1 (distant) looks fairly natural but Photo 2 (close up), shot closer to the breast, has the reflection that differs from that of the naked flesh (Naked flesh also reflects but in a slightly less plastic way. You can see that the flesh above the bra line is “blown out” by the light from the flash, making it much lighter than it actually is. You can also see that the woman who had her breast imprint taken for these forms had very bumpy areolar regions.)

The Pocket Teddie’s “pockets” were easily filled with the forms so the only thing to do was slip into the garment and take the test ride. The fabric was very sensual, as good lingerie should be, and the fit felt comfortable. At first the breasts sagged too much but a quick adjustment of the shoulder straps solved that problem. The breast forms did not feel as tightly held to the chest as they might have been by a regular bra but they were in the proper place and the “bounce test” showed that they did move properly, just like the real thing. The lace panel and see through cups give the teddie a sexy look and the frilly trim on the bottom is fun. I didn’t try attaching the garters to stockings but the garters seemed long enough — not normally the case on lingerie designed for female bodies — to keep your thigh highs in place.

How about my concern that there would be no plump, feminine rise of flesh above the bra line? As you can see from the photos there was a bit of that (after strap adjustment) and the illusion was preserved. The breast forms do pull away from the body if you lean forward (oh no! “saggy breasts”) but If you want to wear the teddie with the forms under clothing for the early part of your evening and then amaze your lover with the illusion of full breasts revealed through illusion net then the Pocket Teddie will work for you.

Any drawbacks? The crotch does not have snaps or hooks. It is sewn together. This could mean that going to the bathroom if you’re going out could be a challenge. Not an insurmountable one but something to think about. If you enjoy having your breasts attached or firmly held in place by a bra you will have to get used to the looseness of the forms in the Pocket Bra Teddie.

Bottom line: It’s sexy, it fits well and it is made well. The fabric is sensual but sturdy. If you want to let your (fake) nipples show for photos or romantic trysts this teddie will do the job. (If you have breast or wear yours attached you can remove the pockets with a pair of scissors and use the garment as a regular teddie.)
