Monday Edition Now Online
It’s that time again! Monday morning-new-edition-of-TGF-time. First up is the news of the TG world column, TWIT Notes. Today we have short TWIT but Ronnie Rho will be adding some more stories early this week.
Then we bring you a new column from a therapist named Dr. Maureen Osborne. Dr. Osborne introduces herself today and we hope you’ll be inundating her with questions and comments about your TG issues. Get to know her by reading her column, Checking in with Osbo’s Bridge Club.
Then Luna, our resident drag hag, brings us up to speed on the winner of the online portion of RuPaul’s Drag Race — Nina Flowers. People from all over the country competed by posting videos on the Drag Race site and the winner will compete on the RuPaul’s Drag Race television show on the Logo cable network. Get aquainted with Miss Flowers, watch a video of her in performance and a slideshow of her photos in Luna’s Drag Race Blog.
Kalina Isato‘s Ninja Beauty Secrets gives you the lowdown on that versatile hair accessory — the headband. If you’re styling your own hair these are secrets you need to now.
Fans of Hebe Dotson‘s epic TG adventure Theresa will be happy to know that this week we bring you Chapter 29 of the ongoing saga. The last chapter ended with Terri running into someone she knew from back in the day—in a most unlikely situation… and outfit. What’s gonna happen this chapter? Only one way to find out. Read Chapter 29.
The National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is sponsoring a survey of transgender discrimination. Read the press release and find a link to the survey here. By finding out just how much discrimination against TGs exists the NCTE and the NGLTF can work on helping eliminate it.
We got 19 comments on JoAnn Robert‘s personal endorsement of Barack Obama and the Democratic party in the upcoming election. If you missed it last week or would like to chime in with your comment click here to read her statement and the comments.
Stephanie Yates wrote a blog last week on the differences between how men and women view fidelity. Her thesis in a nutshell is that men view fidelity as a physical thing — “I never touched her!” and women worry about their husbands straying like Jimmy Carter by lusting in their minds. And crossdressing is a factor in some wives feeling that their CD husbands don’t care about them anymore. No one had any comments so maybe you missed it. If so give it a read. It’s called Love’s Higher Law.
That’s all the new stuff for this week and a couple of things yo may have missed from last week. Remember, this isn’t a print magazine so all the content we’ve added is all still there for you to read anytime you like. Scroll down and use the previous link to go back in time. Enjoy!
