Letter From The Editor
We have a jam packed Monday edition of TGForum today—five new posts and articles for your entertainment and information. Some of you are looking down below this post and saying, “But Angela, I only see three stories on the page and then the Archives links. There’s this story where you’re quoting me, and then a couple of other things below. Where’s the rest?”
Oh, it’s there. It just came to my attention the other day that some folks are not up on all the advantages and convenience of Internet publishing so I thought a short primer might be a good idea. If you already know your way around TGF go ahead and skip this. For those of you who didn’t know there was more here than meets the eye, listen up.
If you scroll down the page to just above the stories from the TGF Archives you’ll see a line of text that says: “See all TG Forum Today posts…” Notice that it is blue and underlined. That means it’s a link and the place it takes you to an extended version of the first page you come to after you log in. That page will have about ten postings on it from the past few days. Things go from most recent to earlier and at the bottom of the page is another line of blue, underlined text that says: “Next Page>>”. Clicking that link will get you the next page of older TGF postings. At the bottom of that page the blue link offers you a choice between “Next Page>>” and “<<Previous Page”. If you want to keep journeying into the past of TGF click the “next” link. To return to the latest postings click the “previous” link.
And, you can use the search feature on the right side of the browser to find posts in categories or by specific writers. It’s all going to change at some point in the coming months as we introduce a new and more user friendly interface. But until that change takes place don’t miss out on all the TGF has for you. By the way, have you set up your Profile? How about your TGF homepage? Did you sign up for that email address? And please—somebody start using the Chat Room on a regular schedule! There are cobwebs in there.
TGF is packed with features. If you don’t understand how something works don’t be afraid to ask. Click on the “Contact Us” link that’s found at the bottom of every page and you’ll get to links that will direct your email to Joann, Alaina and myself. Now get on back to TGForum Today and check out the rest of today’s fare.

Sorry I didn’t post this comment sooner. JoAnn is going to do just that, make the chat room open to all. It’ll happen when the new TGF design hits browsers everywhere. But you girls chat nice, like ladies. No hanky panky. 🙂
You might try opening the chat to non-members again. *slight cringe*
JoAnn has tried setting a specific time and announcing it but that has only attracted one or two people. Frankly, we’re stumped. The room is always open to TGF members but no one wants to hang around. Should we redecorate? Different background music? Maybe a wet bar? If anyone has any suggestions on how to make the Chat Room a popular hang out let us know. Just don’t mention Meow. JoAnn doesn’t want to have explain again why that is not available. As for why you don’t find me in the Chat Room—I don’t chat. I find I can’t type fast enough to keep up and then I get confused and have to go have a lie down. Bulletin Boards I love. You can take time to compose. Commenting is great; again, it’s the composition time. Chat is too fast for me.
Is there a good time to go to the chat room?I keep going to there and no one is there not even you.
Angela, you have helped me so much just wanted to thank you one more time.
