Angela as '80s Madonna

Even though most everyone has celebrated Halloween this past Saturday today is actually Halloween. As you all know, Halloween is a holy day of obligation for crossdressers. It’s the one time of the year you can step out of the house in a sexy nurse outfit and be able to say to anyone who questions your choice of wardrobe, “Hey! It’s a Halloween costume!” But I will admit, that since most Halloween parties happened this past weekend, you may get more than the usual comments if you show up at a club tonight in your sexy kitty costume. It’s probably not a good idea to be found at your office desk today in your Lady Gaga outfit. You can try saying you thought it was Halloween Costume Day at The Office but chances are your office did that last Friday. If they are doing it today, have fun!

Today we start the spooky fun with a monstrous installment of The Week In Transgenderism. Well, okay, not that monstrous, but it does have links to all the TG news we could find. There’s a story about a little TG who wants to be a Girl Scout but the Scouts are being mean. You’ll read about the transgender student who was expelled from college after outing herself on a reality show. There is a story about a TG pageant in Malaysia, an article on a male teacher who wore capri pants to class. Fashionable yes. Good idea? You decide. There’s a lot more besides and it’s all in TWIT!

Our cartoon crossdresser, Lexy Tranner, joins us today. Kyra Kelly’s creation is always good for a chuckle. Ladies should refrain from belly laughs but sometimes Lexy’s adventures just call for that. Find out what she’s up to today in this month’s Lexy Tranner — Weekend CD.

Dina Amberle is with us today. In her column she discusses a study of men who look for love with transgender women. Dina takes a look at reports that Asian women are seeking feminized men. There’s a discussion of the return of Manolo Blahnik (he went away?) and more. You’ll find it waiting for you at the best little diner in town — Dina’s Diner.

I’ve taken some time this month to write down a few of the things I’ve learned on my journey to creaky old TG-hood. Today I discuss blending in with the general population. The information comes from years of observation of the TG community and of women going about their daily routines. I hope you find it useful or at least entertaining. I call it What Not To Wear.

Cyndy Lauper doesn’t just want to have fun, after all, She has put together a massive benefit show that happens on December 4th. It’s called Home For The Holidays and it benefits the True Colors Fund and their work on behalf of LGBT homeless youth. Check out their official announcement.

That is our offering for this week. We hope you enjoy and, if so moved, donate to support our work. Enjoy!

Actually, tonight is All Hallows Eve, beginning Samhain (November 1) and today is just a warm-up for the party people. Centuries ago, the day was reckoned from sunset to sunset, not midnight to midnight. And for those who think the witching hour isn’t till midnight, circle rites may take hours at a time. Most of the time we simply wait till the trick-or-treat nonsense has passed and then we have at the good stuff…music, love, and magick till the wee hours of the morning…and if what we do affects the local weather, so much the better.
