Good Morning Campers!
It’s time for new content on your old buddy TGForum! We begin with The Week In Transgenderism. I’ve dug up stories about the transgender actress whose career is taking off after her debut film gets many good reviews. There’s links to news on Hedda Lettuce’s diet, slut walks gaining momentum, a TG couples “impossible” pregnancy, the TG who sued the TSA for discriminating against her at work. She was a TSA agent. There’s more about the McDonald’s beat down, the Washington TG who was shot, and a whole lot more in this edition of TWIT.
Dina Amberle joins us today with her Dina’s Diner column. Miss Amberle reads a lot of news and she can ferret out the items that while seeming to not have anything to do with transgender issues will still likely resonant with her readers. Today she talks about a professional poker player with 1200 pairs of designer heels, the makers of Botox and their optimistic view of the esthetics market, hair in space, and more. Don’t miss the early crowd at Dina’s Diner.
Drag legends Lavern Cummings and David de Alba, performers who used to work the room at Finocchio’s in San Francisco back when drag was drag and a woman was a frail, are coming back to the stage in Las Vegas — and we don’t want what happens in Vegas to stay in Vegas when it comes to these shows. Lavern retired in 1982 but videos of her amazing performances are on YouTube. The fabulous David de Alba has organized two shows, one in August with both performers that features an onstage interview, video clips of the golden days and the presentation of their TGForum Gallery of Greats Certificates, and then a solo show featuring de Alba in September. For all the details and links to their pages in The Gallery of Greats don’t skip over Drag Legends Perform in Vegas.
That perky pixy of TG mirth, Miss Lexy Tranner — Weekend CD, is with us today. Kyra Kelly’s crossdressing creation is in another pickle. She’s got way too many clothes. Oh the horror! See how Lexy solves her problem is this month’s Lexy Tranner — Weekend CD.
Dr. Sherman Leis, renowned surgeon and driving force behind The Philadelphia Center for Transgender Surgery has done some poking around and come up with six ways trans people can pay for their surgery. If you’re contemplating making some changes you may wish to consult Dr. Leis’ Ways To Pay For Reassignment Surgery.
That’s our offering of new content for today. Let us know what you think via the comment boxes. Enjoy!
