GLBT TV Does Drag
Logo, the gay, lesbian, bi, transgender cable channel has had so much success with RuPaul’s Drag Race that they have been adding more drag to the programing. One of their regular features is called One Night Stand Up and it showcases gay and lesbian comics. Recently they featured drag queen comics in One Night Stand Up — Dragtastic. The featured acts were Jackie Beat, Coco Peru, and Varla Jean Merman and the show was hosted by Drag Race alumni Ongina. you can check the Logo schedule to see if it is still running.
Next week, on January 17th at 10:00 p.m. Logo is running the second drag comedy special titled One Night Stand Up — Dragtastic NYC. The show is hosted by another former Drag Race contestant, Pandora, and features New York divas Hedda Lettuce, Kelly Mantle, Bianca Del Rio and Harmonica Sunbeam. If you like your comedy in a dress and sky high heels then you won’t want to miss Dragtastic NYC.
The Logo channel website also features interviews with the queens from the first drag comedy special. If you want to see Jackie Beat, Coco Peru and Varla Jean out of drag be sure to check it out. Seeing them in male mode can be useful for your self confidence when dressing up.
