monday0609Many people loath Mondays. That’s the day they have to go back to work and get back into their work day routine. Some dread the first commute of the week, that Monday crawl, as they make their way to the office. Here at TGF I loath Sundays. That’s because every Sunday evening while others are watching their favorite tasteless cartoon shows I am hard at work beating the raw stuff of the TGForum Monday Edition into the finely honed publication you are viewing right now. No minute with Andy Rooney for me as I slog through the html code, consult grammars and trim photos to fit. But do I complain the way many of the Monday morning loathers do? Of course not. (If you don’t count this whole first paragraph.) I settle myself behind the keyboard, firmly grasp the mouse and get right to work. Why? Because here at TGF it’s our goal to make your Monday the best it can be with the best durned TG publication on the web. Our motto — hand coded for your viewing pleasure. So let’s get on with it.

First up is the exquisite confection we call This Week In Transgenderism by our lovely and talented News Editor Miss Ronnie Rho. Let’s give the Rhoster a big hand! (You can develop a big hand from the wear and tear of all that typing.) This week’s TWIT has links to everything TG on the Web, from the old “is Mona Lisa a self portrait?” story to three stories about how it’s easy to get your legal name change in New York, to another pregnant MtF, the Miss’d America pageant in Atlantic City and a whole lot more. To get all the T info all the time don’t forget your TWIT.

Pamela DeGroff, the hardest working TG covering show biz, has filed another Transvocalizers column and this one is a dandy. She interviews the performer behind the drag personna LaLa McCallan. We call the column Transvocalizers since it covers TG performers who sing in their own voices. In LaLa’s case you will have trouble believing your ears. This gal is good! Having a three octave range certainly helps but did I mention she’s beautiful too? Don’t miss part one of an interview with LaLa McCallan in this month’s Transvocalizers.

Our resident TS, Miss Kalina Isato, has posted her Stochastic Musings column for this month. As always it’s all about Kalina and contains lots of her stochastic thoughts on this thing we call trans. She has a run in with “trans youth”(in their 30s and 40s?) who take her to task over info she has provided for trans youth, discusses hairstyles and fears of being read in the lady’s room (sometimes I read on my iPhone while I’m in the lady’s. If I’m going to be awhile it helps to pass the time. And there’s an app for that!) and actually admits to being a narcissist. Well, who isn’t in this lifestyle? Don’t miss her Stochastic Musings.

Just a quick note here about the comment box. Oh yes, I always go on about how nobody ever seems to want to leave a comment about the content but this week that’s not what I’m on about. One of our new readers left messages to the TGF world in the comment boxes from a couple of weeks ago. And she asked questions that could have been handled with a direct email to JoAnn or I. Our contact info is on the Contact Us page. The link to that page is at the bottom of this page. You keep scrolling till you can’t scroll no more and there it is. There’s a lot of useful info on the Contact Us page so you may not even need to contact us after you’ve checked it out. Now go on ya crazy kids, get outta here and enjoy your TGF!
