Basic Time Management for Crossdressers
When you are a crossdresser, you always face a challenge of time slipping away from you. Living a double life, as both a guy and a girl, can be challenging when it comes to managing time when you don’t have much of it. In this short article, I would like to share a few tips on how to manage time so you have as much time as possible for having fun en femme.
Tip #1: Plan for fun days in advance.
When you are strapped on time, the best way to ensure you will have time to shave, do makeup, dress up, try on different clothes, take pictures and video, and maybe even to go out and party with the other ladies, is to plan your dress-up days in advance. Plans may change in the last minute (which will be another point to discuss), but planning for a day you can have to yourself will help you set time for when you want to engage in crossdressing. Planning a day in or out for crossdressing will create a calendar mark, which you will look forward to. Personally, I usually create plans two to four weeks ahead of the day I want to spend in full makeup and glammed-up nails. However, planning the girl day is only the first step in managing time.
Tip #2: Plan activities in advance.
The best way to maximize efficiency for your dress-up days is to plan activities in advance, just as if you would plan a wedding or even an eventful vacation trip. Creating expectations of what you want to do on the day that you have for girl time will allow you to have expectations of how much time you will need for each activity. My suggestion here is for you to try on outfits for 15-30 minutes for a few days, before the planned dress-up day, just so you know what you want to wear instead of having to spend a lot of time picking and choosing when you have limited time on your dress-up day. Knowing how many outfits you will want to wear and for how long as well as how many pictures and videos you will want to shoot will help you get a general idea of your time allowance.
Tip #3 Budget your time.
Just remember, time never stops. There is no magic remote that can pause time for you. Life goes on and it’s your duty to adjust. Every activity has a time cost associated with it. If you are not new to crossdressing, recall how much time it takes you to shave and shower, how much time it takes you do makeup, hair, and nails, how much time it takes you to actually put on the outfit, including outfit changes, and how much time it takes you on average for a set of 10 to 30 pictures and/or 2 or 3 brief videos (unless you are filming a full-length feature motion picture). I would recommend for you to create a spreadsheet with all the activities and time costs associated with them and also for you to create a 10% time allowance for each activity and additional 15 to 20 minutes between activities. Calculating or budgeting your time wisely will help you create more-realistic expectations of your dress-up days and how much time you will have for all your planned activities. This will allow you to adjust your plans as needed and will help you be most satisfied as you follow through will all your plans.
Tip #4: Always have an emergency plan.
Something can go right, something can go wrong. Plans change. Only you are in charge of your time. What is beyond your control can still happen and it will be up to you to be flexible. You may lose the day you originally planned to dress up or part of the day for one reason or another, but you can still have your fun time if you create a back-up plan. Maybe in the worst case scenario, there will be activities you will not be able to do, such as film certain videos or model certain outfits, or do a certain elaborate makeup look. If you can create a back-up plan for re-scheduling the originally-planned activities, do so. Missing and re-scheduling certain activities is totally ok. If don’t have enough time for them on one day, carry them over to another day. If all you do end up doing everything that you planned for, that’s great! However, chance always favors the prepared and you most definitely want to be prepared for whatever life throws at you on the day you planned for yourself.
