TGF Monday

Good Monday TGF readers! As happens every Monday morning there is a  new edition of TGF for your entertainment and edification.

We lead off this week with TWIT Notes. Our industrious News Editor has assemble a mass of magnificent TG-in-the-news items from the world’s media and she presents them here with clear and direct links to the original publications. She’s got all the stories, from MI-5 hiring LGBT people (Bond, Jane Bond.) to more about the TG model on America’s Top Model; to Georgina Beyer’s move to Australia; gender identity at the Olympics (I am so sick of the Olympics!) to Baby Dee and gender shifting virtual characters given reality, of a sort.

Next up is Dina Amberle with Dina’s Diner. Dina has several observations on women in sports, including, alas, a mention of the Olympics. But also golfer Michelle Wie, deceased ball player Dottie Collins and the Polish female runner who wasn’t really female. (Only her geneticist knows for sure.) Order another cup of java and sit in the Diner for awhile.

In Perpetual Change Pamela DeGroff has an interview with Georgie Jessup, a TG singer and musician who is both an entertainer and an activist. And she’s not hard on the eyes, either.

Ronnie Rho posts a blog on how a bad looking photo of yourself can have a negative effect on your femme self esteem. Been there! Check out “Bad Photos“.

The long awaited TGF Summer Fun 2008 appears today. Click on the link to view the page. See who sent their photos in and what kind of summertime fun they were having.

And lastly, I, Angela Gardner, present a short adventure I had while I was stalking the elusive bargain buy at Nordstrom Rack. I over heard a conversation about myself and I thought you might find it interesting, informative or at least entertaining. Read about it in A Shopping Adventure.
