The Hill reports that Donald Trump said during an interview on a conservative radio show that “on day one” he would end President Biden’s rule that transgender students are protected from discrimination “on the basis of sex.” For legalizing discrimination and making no qualms about it, Former President Trump gets a Twit Award.

The former president is not alone. Independent candidate for President Robert Kennedy Jr. also said that believes that gender-affirming medical care for minors is experimental, and furthermore, he doubts the studies which show that it produces good results. While he stopped short of endorsing a nationwide ban on gender-affirming medical care for minors, he certainly was leaning in that direction. For disagreeing with scientists about science, and for using terms like “repurposed castration drugs” and “surgical mutilation,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gets a Twit Award. This story comes from The Advocate.

Although Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed skepticism about the scientific studies that show that gender-affirming medical care for transgender minors produces good results, Marjorie Taylor Greene still thinks that he is not transphobic enough for her. For continuing to insist on ending medical treatments which produce good results but which she disagrees with, Marjorie Taylor Greene gets a Twit Award. LGBTQ Nation has this story.

As we mentioned in the news, Boy Scouts of America announced that they would change their name to Scouting America. As you might suspect, some prominent conservatives gave the new, less gendered, name a negative reception. For insisting that scouting must be advertised as gendered, and for blaming “the left” and “woke” for the name change, these conservatives get a Twit Award. This story comes from LGBTQ Nation.

In the news, we also mentioned that the leaked copy of the new guidelines from NHS England on medical care for transgender patient show that many transgender minors will be forced off gender-affirming medical care. For turning medical care political, NHS England gets a Twit Award. PinkNews has this story.

We mentioned a couple of weeks ago that West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is using anti-transgender rhetoric to support his bid to become Governor. However, his primary opponents on the Republican side–former legislator Moore Capito, car dealer Chris Miller, and state Secretary of State Mac Warner have all joined him on the anti-transgender bandwagon. For turning the race for governor into a contest of who can be most prejudiced against transgender people, the four candidates share a Twit Award. The 19th has this story.

The Daily Wire and other right-wing outlets are advertising a supplement which claims to enhance virility. The presumed audience for this is cisgender males, who find that their sexual performance has decreased with age. A commentary for LGBTQ Nation suggests that this is gender-affirming medical care, but for cisgender males. For failing to see that they are advertising what they preach against, and for not accepting that God has diminished their audience’s sex lives, The Daily Wire and other right-wing sites get a Twit Award.
