Transgender Fashion Models

In 2019, Mimi Tao made history when she became the first transgender model to appear on the American reality TV show Project Runway. Mimi spent six years of her youth as a Buddist monk before deciding that her life as a male was over. She has walked the runway for numerous brands at New York Fashion Week and is signed with all-transgender agency Slay Model Management in Los Angeles.
