Cobalt Sovereign

Cobalt Sovereign, a transgender female student, was hospitalized for two days with a broken jaw after she was violently attacked for using the boy’s restroom. CNN has this story. The incident took place in Minnetonka, Minnesota.

An appeals court for the state of Missouri awarded a transgender student $4,000,000 in a case where the student said that not allowing him to use the appropriate restroom was discrimination. The transgender student had an updated birth certificate, and the school district used birth certificates to determine a student’s sex. The Missouri Independent has this story.
