A national survey conducted by the CDC finds that 3% of U.S. high school students identify as transgender. That does not mean that 3% of high schoolers are receiving gender-affirming medical care, but it does mean that there are more people who would be helped by gender-affirming medical care than was previously thought. If we include questioning students, the percentage rises to 5%. The same survey raised doubts about how much support transgender students get at school, although to be fair, teachers and administrators often have to abide by rules set by legislators, school boards, and judges. You can find more at the CDCM.

It is the theme of a commercial which his campaign is playing on frequent repeat.
