tgf_mondayHappy New Year! Today is the first day of the rest of… oops, sorry. I got carried away. I meant to just simply state that it’s the first Monday of a whole new decade. I think. Maybe not. does it actually start with 2011? I get confused so easily. I though going with a darker wig would make me brighter but it hasn’t worked out. Anyhow, we’re done with the evil, awful 2009 and have moved on to 2010. With all that’s gone wrong with the world (like Nigerians trying to blow up their own junk to bring down airplanes) we’ve just got to adopt the “things can only get better after this” attitude and keep our fingers crossed. Of course it goes without saying (why is it that that phrase always precedes the topic that didn’t need to be said?) that I will not be traveling by air this year. After the Christmas bombing attempt they’re going to start using those scanners that can see through your clothing. It would be just too embarrassing if they spotted that I was wearing the wrong day of the week panties. So, it’s ground travel for this girl until they stop using the X-ray specs.

But that’s not why you surfed on over. You’re here for the Monday Edition. We begin our revered Monday tradition with the always informative and entertaining This Week In Transgenderism by our News  Editor Ronnie Rho. Ronnie’s got more about the crossdressing cafes of Japan, a very hopeful story about the appointment of a transgender woman to the Department of Commerce, (that’s right, the US Department of Commerce. I don’t think a McCain administration would have done that) a porn smuggler who crossdressed, the TG who was kicked off of Big Brother, and more about the crossdressing kick boxer. Oh, and Mayor Stu is in there, too. It’s all waiting for you in TWIT.

Right after TWIT the Monday Edition continues with more startling revelations from our own Kalina Isato in the column she likes to call Stochastic Musings. Kalina tells us all about her chance encounter with Shaq, a man who wanted to take her home to meet his mother (and why Kalina’s wife frowned upon that), where she’s dined recently, the press she got in the Philadelphia Gay News and a whole lot more. If you want to know everything about Kalina there’s only one way (other than her own website) to find out. Ya gotta read her Musings.

We round out the Edition with Pamela DeGroff’s Transvocalizers. This month Pamela features that star of stage, screen and television,  Miss Coco Peru. Coco has been in everything from Girls Will Be Girls to Will and Grace, To Wong Foo… and an Orbitz gum commercial. All that and she sings! Don’t miss an interview with a truly talented and very nice person.  Read about Coco Peru in Transvocalizers.

That’s our Monday Edition for the first Monday in 2010. Enjoy!
