sophie-costumeDear Festive Readers,

Well, we are finally looking at the End of Winter!! It is now spring (or summer, depending on where you are). We have arrived at May, and I bet I know what is on every woman’s mind — HALLOWEEN!

Yes, dear friends, it is officially High Time to figure out who YOU want to be in just five short months! None of us wants to cut eye-holes in a sheet at the last minute; no, we want to Shine! To Amaze! To be that special, hidden (or not) persona who lurks inside of us, just waiting to be set free, if only for Halloween.

So — this is a perfect time to plumb the depths of your psyches; will you release the Saucy Pirate Wench within? Dare to be Dolly Parton, or Chaka Khan?  How ’bout Katy Perry? Or maybe you secretly yearn to strut your stuff in something non-sexy, like a fabulous Penguin Costume! No? Worth a try.

Yes, I know you want to be a bodacious babe EVERY Halloween — and that can take some time! I have made a hell of a lot of costumes, and I love to do so. My personal favorite is my mermaid costume, and I could sure whip up one for my readers who would like to be Occasional Woman customers. If you can make or buy your own costume, I am very proud of you. If not, consider contacting your favorite costumer or custom seams person — we live for Halloween!

Oh, and by the way, just cuz it’s almost beach weather — Miracle Suit swimsuits are wonderful. Most have underwires, making them easier to . . . uh . . . . supplement. Are they expensive? You bet! But try eBay, that’s where I got mine. And do add a fetching cover-up. They are generally a PERFECT length to accentuate those lovely stems you have.

I hope this summer AND Halloween are fab for all you all, and please remember, summer’s best accessory is sunscreen.
