The Many Looks of Paris Lees
Paris Lees is a British trans woman who proves that people can change if they really want to. She, (pre-transition) during her teens commited a crime and was sentenced to eight months in prison, beginning at age 18. While in prison she decided to shed the negative experiences that landed her behind bars and concentrate on seeking the life she wanted. After release from gaol she went back to college, moved to Brighton and, she said, “In the space of six weeks I went from living in Nottingham as a boy […] to living in Brighton as a girl.”
After completing her studies she moved to London to pursue a career in journalism. She founded a transgender oriented magazine, wrote for many newspapers, and worked as a presenter on television.
