The TransCentralPA support group hosted their first conference on TG issues last week from the 12th through the 14th. By all standards The Keystone Conference, even in this period of economic downturn, was a big success. Organizers are already planning for the second conference in 2010.

Presenters particpating ranged from SRS surgeons like Dr. Sherman Leis and Dr. Christine McGinn to therapists — our own Dr. Maureen Osbourne, Dr. Michele Angello, beauty expert Amanda Richards, deportment and femininzing guru Lady Ellen, our favorite TGF medical advisor Dr. Cerise Richards and a host of others

For those who love to get out and about there were several road trips planned to area restaurants, nightclubs, a local casino and the Penn  National Racetrack.

The cocktail hour (which became about two hours) featured entertainment from the fabulous Vicki D’Salle. Vicki rocked the house with her blues piano and jazzy vocals.

The weekend came to its rousing conclusion with the Saturday night Spring Fling Gala Dance after an inspiring dinner speech by Donna Rose. (Recently featured in TGF here.)

After dinner Angela Gardner (hey that’s me!) brought her Laptop Lounge computer and spun the dance tracks till the witching hour. (Technically the music still “spins” but now it’s on a hard drive.)

Congratulations to the the officers and members of TransCentralPA for hosting a professional event with just the right blend of education and fun.
