It’s not complicated — it’s humanity!

Here we go again. This is just the beginning of the avalanche of lawsuits coming from each and every direction. Ultimately, we as a society needs to re-examine- re-evaluate and re-define what is a woman? and what is man?  The fall out of course will be all of the upcoming valid and some invalid lawsuits of this nature. And what a time to pick a fight for medical care — while the government was SHUT DOWN!

Transgenders, male to female (MtF) crossdressers are making society and all forms of its bigoted institutions re-write the rules. Some have stated:

“It’s a complicated legal issue, but it all boils down to a simple question: If someone is born a man, but has surgery to become a woman, are they entitled to the same free healthcare as other women?”

After noticing unusual breast growth, a male to female (MtF), sixty-two year old transsexual, Blair went to Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains on the 6300 block of E. Exposition in Denver for a mammogram, paid for by Women’s Wellness Connection.

The state-run program offers free cancer screenings for low-income women. Even though she meets all the requirements, Blair was turned away be cause she is not biologically a woman.

To complicate things more, Blair states, “I don’t have any health insurance,” like millions of Americans.

Logic would dictate if some one has breasts — then they must have regular required mammograms. Due to all of Blair’s treatments –she is at a higher risk of breast cancer than most and therefore she should be given even more frequent bi-annual mammograms — not refuse her one, unless she pays. This is a sad, yet a perfect example of how bigotry is a part of our institutions and how we as a collective group of society allow it to happen. Ignorance.

Many heterosexuals have raised their voices loudly to support LGBT and CD equal rights. These necessary health care tests are the best way we have to fight this horrific disease, which has taken too many lives. All people need to fight for equal rights of healthcare for everyone — including transsexuals. Why would we as a society discriminate on whose breasts get free mammograms? Knowing that without this tool many more would die. And do not forget — “normal” men get breast cancer too!

Transgender woman sues after being denied free mammogram.

Fight for your right to mammograms! Be happy that they are not real because mammograms hurt like hell — turn your breasts into pancakes! But it saves lives and all lives are worth saving.
