Some researchers for Do No Harm claim that denying transgender minors access to gender-affirming care does not increase the probability of these children committing suicide. Unfortunately, in their explanation found in the New York Post, they note that many transgender people have anxiety and depression and “serious mental-health issues.” They attribute the high suicide rate to these “serious mental-health issues,” rather than to the gender dysphoria. However, the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association think that gender dysphoria causes “serious mental-health issues,” rather than the other way around. For coming to their conclusion by confusing correlation with causation, Do No Harm gets a TWIT.
Vice-President J.D. Vance said in a speech in Kansas that the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate “proudly supported a drag group called Our Ladies of Perpetual Indulgence.” There is no such group, although there is a group called the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. They do not worship the devil as the Vice-President claims. They are dedicated to human rights advocacy and community service. For attempting to turn the group into villains and evildoers, and for hyperbole, Vice-President J.D. Vance gets a TWIT. This story comes from The Advocate.
