As we mentioned in the news, America PAC, a Political Action Committee tied to Elon Musk, is looking to spend $100 million on anti-transsgender ads, many featuring deep fakes such as made up transgender people. For spreading lies in an attempt to win the election, Elon Musk and America PAC get a TWIT. The 19th* has this story.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s campaign digitally inserted a transgender pride flag into a scene of his opponent,state Representative Gina Hinojosa, talking with a constituent. The original footage, found on his opponent’s website, shows an American flag at the spot where the campaign ad had inserted the transgender pride flag. Further, the voice-over is talking about the long-discredited idea that schools are transitioning students. For digitally altering the footage and for spreading a lie, the Greg Abbott campaign gets a TWIT. This story comes from AFP Factcheck.
In his speech to the Republican Midterm Convention, President Trump remarked that anti-transgender attacks in ads are one of the Republicans’ “great sound bites.” However, the public keeps saying that the anti-transgender message is not moving them. The only people who seem to be persuaded by them are the MAGA voters, who would vote for President Trump and the Republicans anyway. For trying to reach independent voters with a message aimed at their party’s hard-core base, President Trump and the Republicans get a TWIT. The Advocate has this story.

There is, of course, no evidence of such a person, but evidence is hardly necessary for a conspiracy theory.
