Happy New Year everyone!

With the coming of the new year we are making improvements and changes to TGForum. The content will still be arriving and all the features will be there but we’re doing some sprucing up and polishing.

One of the first changes coming is that after the 1st of January the Chat function will only be available to registered users who are logged in.

Up until now Guests could use the Chat function but that will change on the first. Becoming a registered user of TGForum is very easy and it doesn’t cost anything. If you’re not a registered user click on the Register link in the Login Status box. Your username can be anything you like but keep in mind you will be stuck with it if you decide you don’t like it. Spaces are acceptable in the username so you can make your first and last names be your username. For example: Angela Gardner could be my username. No need to have the two words together or add a – or _.

We also encourage you to fill in your bio information when you register. No need for your whole life story, just a few sentences about yourself and why you are using TGF. And do upload an avatar photo. Even if it’s not a photo of your smiling face, use a cartoon or a design that will be your face on TGF.

Among the improvements coming in 2014 is a TG friendly business directory. If you do business with stores, online and brick & mortar, who are happy to serve TG customers, we want to know where they are and what they sell. There will also be categories for other services used by transgendered people. Keep your eyes open for an email telling you how to add your TG friendly businesses.

Thanks for supporting TGForum through the past year and enjoy it in 2014. Once again, Happy New Year!

Angela

Does a gravatar only follow the email address you give or does it follow you everywhere even if you have a second male email address?

Hi Suzanne! The gravatar is connected only to your email address. You control which email address it follows. The only way your male email address would display your Suzanne gravatar is if you registered that address with the gravatar site.
