This past Sunday, August 21, David de Alba and Paul/Lavern Cummings appeared together again on stage at The Oynx Theater, a gay owned venue, in Las Vegas, Nevada. As hot as it gets in Las Vegas the weather outside was mild compared to the heat generated by these two dynamic performers. The sold out crowd attentively listened to David and Paul talk about the golden days of female impersonation at Finocchio’s in San Francisco and gave them hearty rounds of applause when they each performed some of the songs they used to do way back when.
David de Alba has another show set for The Oynx in September when he will be back performing in full drag. The show is titled Finocchio’s Club Backstage Memoirs. Check our Event Calendar for details on showtimes and tickets. Book soon as this is likely a sellout as well.

The show was fantastic!!! David and Paul thrilled the sellout audience with their stories, videos and singing. I hope they can do it again. I was thrilled to be a little part of the show with the introductions.
David is performing a one-man show of Judy Garland, Liza Minelli and Boy-Chic at 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the Onyx Theatre in Las Vegas.

Thank you dear Angela Gardner for letting the folks out there at the TG Forum know about our last week’s show at The Onyx Theater in Las Vegas, which by the way, was a hit with everyone.
I wish more TG folks would have attended our show (and this is not just me saying so), but a few older TGs who were present at the show and they said that to me at the end of the show when they came over to say hello to me.
Please, do try to attend my September 18th one-man/woman musical play about Finocchio’s and that I know you will enjoy a lot….especially the older TG gals who went to Finocchio’s (even if they went in drab at the time.)
