Pamela DeGroff been writing for TGForum since the start of 1999. Her humor column, The Pamela Principle, ran until 2005. She started the Perpetual Change music column in May of 1999, and in 2008, Angela Gardner came up with the idea for the Transvocalizers column and put Pam to work on that. Pamela was a regular contributor to Transgender Community News until that magazine's demise. While part of a support group in Nashville called The Tennessee Vals she began writing for their newsletter, and also wrote for several local GLBT alternative newspapers in Tennessee. Pamela is currently a staff reporter for a small town daily paper in Indiana, and is also a working musician.

“Daughter” by Ryan Cassata Video Review

Music columnist Pam DeGroff returns to TGForum with a review of a new video by FtM musician and song writer Ryan Cassata. The song is titled Daughter and is about how gender transition changed many relationships in his life. In particular it changed the father-daughter relationship. Where his father had established bonds to a daughter, after Ryan’s transition his father had to learn how to change that relationship to bond with his new son. Pamela DeGroff has labored away in the humor and music departments of TGForum since the early days of this publication. All told she has been with us for 18 years. Today she posts her final Perpetual Change music column. We thank her for all those contributions over the years and wish her luck in all future endeavors. Pamela will be gone but not forgotten.
