Chapter 37 – Horror
Savannah and Bill have been married for five months. One day at work Savannah, worried that her employee and friend Sara has not shown up for two days, calls Sara’s cell number only to learn she has been the victim of a sexual assault. Bill wants to help with the trial of the young man who was apprehended after the attack. It results in Savannah seeing a side of Bill that she had never met.
Chapter 36 – One More Wedding
In Chapter 35 of My Life as Savannah Bill proposed marriage. Savannah accepted and after a conference with Savannah’s family in which he was informed of the nature of her childhood, wedding planning commenced.
Chapter 35 – He Proposed
Bill and Savannah have now been together for nearly three years and were more in love than ever. Bill took her out for a gourmet dinner at the Skyline Club. The couple talked, dined, and danced. Savannah enjoyed it as another beautiful evening with Bill. Then he got up from his seat, came around the table with a small box in his hand. As he knelt before her he said he had something to ask her.

Savannah and her beau Bill continue to have fun together and are both falling in love. Their life is a whirl of work, fine dining, formal affairs and pleasure. Savannah has been dating Bill regularly for two months. Every time they are together Bill is a perfect gentleman who treats Savannah as a perfect lady. But, gentle readers, surely you wonder when the happy couple will do more to advance their romance than simply hold hands and soft kisses. Her career is on track for big rewards, her personal life is doing fine and in just the last chapter she met an interesting man when she treated herself to a delicious dinner. Savannah’s career is moving along nicely with promotions and work and kudos from the boss for her plan that saved the business during an economic downturn. One busy Saturday, yes, she works on Saturdays, she treats herself to a good dinner at her favorite seafood restaurant. It’s more crowded that she realized and a gentleman asks if he can share her cabaret table. Could this be a the start of a romance?

Today Savannah takes big step toward being completely herself. Her mother has made an appointment with a doctor who can prescribe hormone therapy. Knowing that is what she really wants Savannah is still concerned somewhat due to a bad experience with a previous physician. She couldn’t help having some feelings of trepidation as the hour of the appointment approached.

After the stress of her sister’s wedding Savannah is glad to just relax and unwind at her mother’s house. With a few more days of her trip home still pending she wants to enjoy visiting with her mother and not thinking about her return to work as a male. Then a conversation with her mother brings up the idea of getting treatment for her male “condition.”

With the strain of helping to prepare for her sister Gwen’s wedding, and all the emotions that were stirred up Savannah began to think about how she would never have a wonderful wedding because she had secrets.
