Welcome to TGForum for the week of August 15, 2011. For new people who don’t know how we do it, every Monday we bring you new content from our writing staff. While you can certainly navigate around and read any of the posts from any point in time it’s Monday that brings the freshest stuff.

We begin our fresh content with the freshest, most delectable transgender news from around the world in a feature we call The Week In Trangenderism. Realistically this must be the last week in transgenderism since we can’t see into the future, but we don’t want to lose a great anagram and have to change TWIT to LWIT. That’s just not gonna happen. This week we have links to stories about all sorts of transgender goings on, from the wedding in Cuba that’s being called a gay wedding even though the bride is a post-op TS, to the drag queen in her 80s who came off stage to stop a ruckus in the audience and ended up in jail, to the essay in The New York Times by a well known trans woman asking where the heck is our wedding cake? It’s all waiting for you in TWIT.

Speaking of that Cuban “gay wedding” we’ve got a link to a video with coverage of the event from EuroNews. The bride is interviewed and we see some of the activity around the ceremony. Check out Cuban Gay Marriage?

Sophie Lynne joins us this week with an essay on what it was like to attend an event in boy mode that she normally goes to en femme. She found herself stuck at work for 12 hours with no time to change but she needed her femme time so she went anyway. Find out how she felt hanging around with her friends in Drab.

Pamela DeGroff has got a CD review of Foxxjazell’s first album, Introducing Foxxjazell as the main portion of her TransVocalizers column. Foxxjazell is a transgender rapper and singer and she is making a name for herself in the macho world of rap. Introducing Foxxjazell was her first album and Pamela finds that looking back at it reveals an already polished artist, not a typical first album at all. Pamela fills out the column today with some info on past TVocalizers like Beth Isbell, Coco Peru and Chaos and Lace, and she provides some info on hot new dance music that’s sure to have you moving in the clubs soon. Don’t miss TransVocalizers.

Ronnie Rho joins us today with a much needed how to article. Ronnie has been working on this one for some time and we welcome her back to TGF with an article on how to take better pictures. If you look at some of the pictures in our user photo galleries you can see that some of the girls need a bit of help. There are photos with bad lighting, background clutter, too wide a field and even some photos that haven’t been turned to the correct orientation so that you end up having to turn your head to one side to see them. All of these mistakes can be avoided and Ronnie gives you photo hints, examples, and tips in Take Better Pictures!

That’s our new content for today. As always, enjoy responsibly!
