A Word (Or 200) From The Editor

Angela GardnerHi Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Fourth of July. There’s nothing like watching fireworks in spike heels and a red, white and blue mini dress. Let’s just hope that the potato salad and burgers haven’t totally ruined our figures for the rest of the summer.

Awhile back we noticed that as we labor away each week to provide top notch info and entertainment (infotainment, if you will) we don’t get many comments from the readers. Looking into the situation I found that for some bizarre reason a subscriber to TGF still had to go through a second registration process in order to post a comment on a story. That would make me think twice about speaking up. We took care of that and it seemed that comments were indeed increasing in frequency—for a bit.

But now we’re back to seeing an occassional comment on a posting or two and the majority of them go up with no reaction. This could be because everyone is really happy with everything we post and they’re all doing their nails so they don’t want to type while their polish is drying. Or, it could be that nobody gives a big rat’s bottom. Being creative, writer types (and sensitive transgender ladies to boot) we all have that insecurity monster that rises up in the back of our minds and says, “Yeah, you suck. Everything you write is drivel and nobody likes you. Oh, and you’re wig is crappy, too.”

After we’ve beaten the monster for an hour or two with a length of lead pipe we go back to our creative endeavors and try to feel good about ourselves but we still wonder—is anybody reading this stuff?

So, help us out! If you agree with what we write or don’t agree, if you find it entertaining, informative, dull, stupid, or whatever, let us know with a comment or two. It would be exciting for us all if we got actual discussion going on the site about the content. Do you like The Game? Is Theresa keeping you riveted and you can’t wait till the next installement? Remember—we’re interactive! And, if you want to see more of a particular kind of thing let us know directly. Email me or your favorite writer. Thanks for your support!
